Dear Passengers,
This month, we held the opening ceremony of Başkentray, one of the most important rail system projects of our capital, with the honors of our President and Prime Minister. This project is not only a suburban railway line for Ankara. This line is the main backbone of Ankara that connects all rail systems. Metro lines will be integrated with Başkentray and YHT and freight trains will be able to work at the same time.
Now the people of Ankara can travel uninterruptedly on railways. To achieve this, we renewed the entire 36 kilometer line. We also took the level crossings on the route underground or above ground. We have built 11 highway underpass, 1 highway overpass, 10 pedestrian crossing, 1 tunnel and 70 culverts. We didn't settle for that. We increased the number of lines between Ankara and Kayaş to 4, the number of lines between Ankara and Behiçbey to 6 and the number of lines between Behiçbey and Sincan to 5. For the 36 kilometer line, we have installed the new 156 kilometer high standard railway.
Turkey's most original railway between Ankara-Sincan BAŞKENTRAY with only one of the systems we've reduced 11 minutes. Başkentray, both Eskişehir Road and Istanbul Road will provide significant relief in traffic. Every day, hundreds of thousands of people who come to the center of Ankara from districts such as Sincan and Etimesgut will now travel with Başkentray.
