İzmir Metropolitan Mayor Aziz Kocaoğlu, who was invited to London at the end of the month for the Independent Cities Conference organized by the World Bank International Finance Corporation IFC and the famous British magazine The Economist, will talk about the successful financial balance of İzmir and local development and environmental projects.

Izmir, where world-renowned rating agencies Moddy's and Fitch raised its national credit rating to AAA, which is the “highest level of investment grade”, Izmir has started to increase its international popularity gradually. İzmir Metropolitan Mayor Aziz Kocaoğlu was invited as a speaker to the Independent Cities Conference (Cities Unbound) to be held in London at the end of the month.

At the conference organized by World Bank International Finance Corporation IFC and the famous British magazine The Economist, Mayor Kocaoğlu, who was asked to explain the successful financial balance with local development and environmental projects known as the “Izmir Model”, will also answer questions about the city.

30 guests, including mayors from different parts of the world, and senior executives of the infrastructure, transportation, energy, sustainability and communication sectors, will attend the Independent Cities Conference to be held on June 80 at The Crystal Congress Center.
