Deputy Uslu, Çorum's longing for the railway will end: Forestry and Water Affairs Minister Prof. Dr. Veysel Eroğlu came to Çorum yesterday for the collective groundbreaking and opening ceremony of 7 facilities built by the General Directorate of State Hydraulic Works.
Besides Minister Veysel Eroğlu, Governor Ahmet Kara, AK Party Çorum Deputies Salim Uslu and Ahmet Sami Ceylan, Prime Ministry Chief Consultant Prof. Dr. Lütfi Akça, DSI General Manager Ali Rıza Diniz, Mayor Muzaffer Külcü, AK Party Provincial Chairman Rumi Bekiroğlu, district mayors, some department directors and representatives of non-governmental organizations and many citizens attended.
AK Party Deputy of Çorum and Parliament's Chief of Administration Salim Uslu emphasized that the high-speed train and freight train projects are being prepared and said “Çorum's longing for the railway will end”.
Speaking about his meeting with Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu, Salim Uslu said, “As the deputies, we brought the Central Anatolia Development Project to our Prime Minister. We said that by preparing a special development project covering the provinces located in the basin between Kızılırmak and Yeşilırmak, it is necessary to initiate a new move in order to contribute to the development of these provinces in the fields of agriculture, tourism, agricultural industry and industry. Our Prime Minister immediately gave instructions to the relevant institutions and noted that this request will be made. High speed train and freight train will come to Çorum. Projects were tendered. We will spend 5.5 quadrillion there. " he spoke.
