Five workers, who were injured from the rubble after the collapse, were taken to Sakarya University Sakarya Training and Research Hospital and treated. While the defendants did not participate in the lawsuit filed with the charge of “Causing a Person Injury by Negligence”, the lawyers of the victim and the accused did.

In the previous hearing, the case file was sent to the Istanbul Criminal Court of First Instance and a 3-person expert on occupational safety was asked to examine the file. The president of the court postponed the case to a later date due to the fact that the original file and physical reports were not received from the expert.
