An important part of the rehabilitation and landscaping works in the Yunuseli Canal, which is a branch of the Nilüfer Stream that flows into the Sea of ​​Marmara and was built to prevent possible floods in the plain between 1925 and 1926, has been completed. While the construction of the river side walls was completed in the 5-kilometer section of the work to be carried out on a total of 3 kilometers, possible floods were completely prevented thanks to the stream section reaching 20 meters width and 3,5 meters height.
Metropolitan Mayor Recep Altepe, who examined the ongoing works on the Yunuseli Canal, received information. Stating that rehabilitation and recreation work continues in Yunuseli Canal, which is a branch of the Nilüfer Stream and was built to prevent possible floods, Altepe said that the project will completely change the face of the region with the pedestrian roads, landscaping arrangements and the arrangement of the road elevations right next to it. Stating that the road elevations on the airport side of the canal will be reduced to the same level within the scope of the works, and thus an important main artery will emerge, Altepe said, “Therefore, an important main artery that will provide the ring road connection of the 30-meter road. kazanwe will be gone. In addition, the Yunuseli region will have a privileged living space with the walking paths, afforestation and landscaping works to be built around the canal.”
