Psychological support and adaptation training activities were started under the instructions of the Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin for children and adults who were brought to Turkey after the massacres in Gaza as a result of Israel's genocidal policies against Palestine.
Ministry units have started to provide training for children and adults affected by Israel's attacks on Gaza and brought to Turkey under the coordination of the Ministry of Health and AFAD for treatment.
In addition to the shelter, food, clothing and humanitarian needs provided for Gaza war victims, within the scope of the support provided by the Ministry of National Education, the necessary plans are made for Palestinian guest children to continue their education, while studies on special education and psychological support needs and necessary guidance activities according to grade levels are also carried out by the Ministry. It is maintained by the relevant units.
"Turkish Language Teaching Courses" were opened in public education centers for the Gazan war victims, who were provided with temporary shelter in various facilities in Istanbul and Ankara by the Ministry of National Education, in order to facilitate their communication. Bags and stationery sets prepared by the Ministry were also distributed to the trainees.
Within the scope of the education support offered, those whose equivalence is made in the Fatih, Bayrampaşa, Sultangazi and Bakırköy districts of Istanbul receive educational services at kindergarten, primary school, secondary school and high school levels. Additionally, Turkish literacy courses for adults were opened.
In Ankara, necessary work has been initiated to meet the Turkish course demands of Palestinians who are provided with temporary shelter and to take the necessary measures regarding the educational needs of children. In this context, as a result of the planning made by Çankaya Başkent Public Education Center, Turkish Language Teaching for Foreigners A1 Level Course was opened for children and adults. Students whose equivalence was completed began to be placed in schools according to their grade levels.
In addition to all these, all necessary work for Palestinian war-victim guest children and adults will continue.
