Mer-Pa Covered Car Park was put into service in İnegöl

İnegöl Municipality, which has taken steps to reduce the city's traffic congestion and find a solution to the parking problem, has offered the Mer-Pa multi-storey car park, which was previously used only on Thursdays and Fridays when the market was held, to the service of citizens. The parking lot for 285 vehicles will serve free of charge for daily parking of the residents of the region. Citizens who want to use the parking lot will be able to enter and exit the parking lot, which is controlled by a barrier, by registering to the license plate recognition system.

A PARKING PARK FOR 285 CARS IS OFFERED TO CITIZENS FOR FREE

Making a statement on the issue, İnegöl Mayor Alper Taban said, “We had a one-storey car park in our Mer-Pa closed market place. This parking lot was used for citizens coming to the market, especially marketers, on Thursdays and Fridays. As of Saturday, we have made an arrangement to have security personnel in the parking lot 7/24 and opened the parking lot for 285 vehicles free of charge to our citizens. Here, our citizens living in the region will be able to use the parking lot 7/24. However, the parking lot will only be open to individual users. There will be vehicles entering and exiting daily rather than long-term parking. "On market days, this place will also be open to marketers and other citizens," he said.

ONLY REGISTERED VEHICLES CAN ENTRY

Explaining that a License Plate Recognition System has been established to control parking lot entrances and exits, Taban said, “The vehicles that will use the parking lot will be registered in our license plate recognition system. Barriers were installed at the parking lot entrance. Barriers will open and close automatically for registered vehicles. We will also have security personnel on duty 7/24 in the parking lot. "Unregistered vehicles will not be able to enter the parking lot," he said.

REGISTRATIONS WILL BE MADE AT MER-PA SECURITY POINT

Mayor Taban also announced that citizens who want to register should apply to the security point located in the Mer-Pa closed market place and said, “When our citizens apply here with a photocopy of their driver's license and registration, their registration will be made. The car park will mainly serve citizens for night parking. "This will be an alternative parking area for our residents," he said.
