Two New Touristic Lines to the Southeast

Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu, in his statement, said that it will offer an alternative to the 'Touristic Eastern Express', which is a favorite of travel lovers and art enthusiasts.

He stated that two new touristic trains to be operated on the 'Ankara-Diyarbakır' and 'Ankara-Tatvan' routes will start operating in April and the services will continue until mid-June. Minister Uraloğlu said, “In addition to the Eastern Express on the Ankara-Kars line, the 'Touristic Eastern Express', which was put into service in the winter season, was in great demand, and travel lovers were demanding that trains for tourism purposes be put into service in the same way on different routes. “We responded to these demands with these two trains.” He stated:

'ANKARA-DIYARBAKIR-ANKARA' TOURIST TRAIN

Stating that they are happy to add new ones to the touristic trips that are highly demanded and loved by the citizens, Uraloğlu said, “The Ankara-Diyarbakır-Ankara Touristic Train, which will be operated on the 'Ankara-Diyarbakır' track with a line length of 1.051 kilometers, will consist of 180 beds and 9 dining car with a capacity of 1 people. It will depart from Ankara at 19 on Friday, April 15.55th, and will start its flights from Diyarbakır at 21 on Sunday, April 12.00st. "On the 'Ankara-Diyarbakır' voyage, it will stop in Malatya for 3 hours, on the Diyarbakır-Ankara voyage, it will stop in Yolçatı for 4 hours and in Kayseri for 3 hours for tourism purposes and will offer the opportunity to see the historical and cultural values ​​​​there." Minister Uraloğlu, who also shared price information, stated that the price of a bed cabin room where two people can travel on the Ankara-Diyarbakır route was determined as 9 thousand liras, and on the Diyarbakır-Ankara route it was determined as 8 thousand liras.

'ANKARA-TATVAN-ANKARA' TOURIST TRAIN

Minister Uraloğlu stated that the tourist train, which will be operated on the 1.262-kilometer Ankara-Tatvan-Ankara track, will start its journeys from Ankara on Wednesday, April 17 at 15.55, and said, "It will make a 4-hour stop in Elazığ on the Ankara-Tatvan journey. The train will depart from Tatvan at 19 on Friday, April 06.35, and will stop for 3 hours in Palu, 4 hours in Elazığ and 3 hours in Kayseri on the Tatvan-Ankara journey. "Ankara-Tatvan-Ankara Touristic Train consists of 9 sleeping cars and 1 dining car." he said.

Minister Uraloğlu stated that the price of a sleeper cabin for two people on the Ankara-Tatvan route is 9 thousand 900 liras, and on the Tatvan-Ankara route it is 9 thousand liras.

Minister Uraloğlu stated that the train offers an alternative holiday option and enables the discovery of the historical and natural beauties of Anatolia, and on the other hand, stated that traveling on the train is like a holiday itself and said, “It also offers very important opportunities for photography lovers. We believe that these tourist trains will be loved as much as the Touristic Eastern Express. "We continue to work on operating tourist trains on different routes." he said.
