The Snowcross World Championship, held for the first time in Turkey, took place under the auspices of the Presidency. İstikbal SNX TÜRKİYE, Bellona, Boyteks, HES Kablo and RHG Enertürk Enerji, ANLAS, organized by the International Motorcycle Federation (FIM) and the Turkish Motorcycle Federation (TMF) with the support of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Kayseri Governorship, Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality, Spor Toto, SASAD. It was sponsored by İzeltaş, ECC Tur, Power App, Radisson Blu Mountain Erciyes and Volta.
While Norwegian Magnus Reiten made a surprise in the championship by winning İstikbal SNX TURKEY, USA's Jesse Kirchmeyer, one of the favorites of many authorities, came second in the race, and Austria's Elias Bacher finished the race in third place despite dislocating his right shoulder.
Turkey's motocross champions Şakir Şenkalaycı and Galip Alp Baysan made history by competing with the world's best snowcrossers in the first leg of the World Snowmobile Championship.
After the Turkey stage, it was learned that the championship will be completed with the stages to be held in Finland on April 14 and Norway on April 21.
