Progress in Gebze Metro Exceeded 80 Percent

Work continues on the Gebze OSB-Darıca Sahil Metro Line, which was designed and built by Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality in 2018 and then transferred to the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure. The metro line, whose travel time will be 40 minutes, will serve 330 thousand passengers a day. It will greatly reduce the traffic load of the Gebze region.

IT WILL BE INTEGRATED IN OTHER LINES

The overall project progress of the metro, whose test drive took place in December, exceeded 80 percent. The subway, where station reinforced concrete and finishing works are mainly ongoing; It will be integrated with Gebze Train Station, Marmaray Transfer Courthouse Station and Sabiha Gökçen Metro.

330 THOUSAND PASSENGERS

Gebze Organized Industrial Zone-Darıca Coast Line Project was built as a 15,4 kilometer long double line and will serve at 11 stations. The total length of the constructed line will be 30,8 kilometers and will serve 330 thousand passengers per day.

63 PERCENT DOMESTIC PRODUCTION VEHICLES

On the other hand, the production of GoA4 Driverless 4-seat vehicles, 63 percent of which are domestic production, has been completed. The speed of vehicles with a carrying capacity of 1080 can reach up to 90 kilometers. While the on-rail delivery of metro vehicles is being carried out, dynamic type testing studies continue.
