Gender Equality Commitments from IC Holding

IC Holding and its affiliated Group Companies emphasized the importance of gender equality and took their work in this field one step further. IC Holding announced that it is a signatory of the "Women's Empowerment Principles" (WEPs) at the March 8 International Women's Day event. WEPs, supported by more than 135 thousand companies in more than 10 countries, is known as the world's largest voluntary corporate responsibility initiative.

This important step is considered as an indicator that IC Holding is progressing towards creating a safer and happier work environment among its employees while consolidating women's employment in its sectors. The opening speech of the event, which was held online with the participation of IC Holding and Group Companies employees, was made by IC Holding CEO Murad Bayar and CHRO Nazire Ulusoy. Melek Pulatkonak, founder of Turkish Women's International Network, also took part in the event with her interview themed "Own Your Story and Make a Difference".

In his speech, IC Holding CEO Murad Bayar emphasized that, as IC Holding and Group Companies, they have been working for a long time for gender equality and the empowerment of women in the business world, and said: “This year, within the scope of our gender equality project DENK, on ​​behalf of our Holding and Group Companies, ' We are very proud to announce that we have taken an important step as a signatory of the Women's Empowerment Principles. As a WEPs signatory, we make commitments to empower women in the workplace and in all areas in which we operate, such as providing high-level corporate leadership and equal opportunities, promoting fair behavior and elevating women to leadership and decision-making positions. We will continue to work by adhering to these principles and principles. “I would like to thank all our valuable colleagues who worked with all their strength on this journey.”

DENK Project: Approach to gender equality with the power of language

With the DENK Project, IC Holding and Group Companies primarily focus on diversity and inclusion, preventing discrimination and increasing awareness of gender equality. At the same time, it aims to raise awareness against judgmental stereotypes that may be effective in inequality between men and women, by drawing attention to the power of language and the determining role of actions.
