Educational Support was Provided to 23 Thousand 104 Students in the Earthquake Zone

The Ministry of National Education provided educational support to 5 thousand 23 students in private schools in 104 provinces in the earthquake zone.

The notification regarding the provision of education and training support to students who will study in private schools in Adıyaman, Hatay, Kahramanmaraş and Malatya provinces and Gaziantep province's İslahiye and Nurdağı districts in the 2023-2024 academic year was published in the Official Gazette in November last year.

Placement procedures for education and training support of private schools and students in these provinces have been completed.

Accordingly, 5 thousand 357 students in 23 private schools in 104 provinces in the earthquake zone were included in the scope of education and training support. The process of placing these students in private schools has been completed.

In this context, 5 thousand 12 lira support was provided for pre-school students studying in private schools in 800 provinces in the earthquake zone, 15 thousand 400 lira for primary school students, 18 thousand lira for secondary school students and 18 thousand lira for high school students.

The highest number of applications for education and training support, for which 40 thousand quotas were allocated, were made from Malatya.

The level that received the most support was secondary education with 7 thousand 758 students.
