Amgen Türkiye “Celebrates Inclusion” Not One Day, Every Day

Considering ensuring equality in society as a requirement of sustainable development and a fundamental human right, Amgen Turkey celebrated March 8, International Women's Day, with activities implemented within the company. Amgen also supported the “#CelebrateInclusion” movement, where the International Women's Day (IWD) platform invites everyone to a gender-equal world. As part of the events, Amgen employees showed their support by posing with their colleagues making hearts with their hands. It was aimed to raise awareness about the obstacle of prejudice in gender equality, accompanied by various experiences and stories shared within the company on March 8.

Stating that they aim to raise awareness about gender equality with their employees within the scope of March 8, International Women's Day, Amgen Turkey General Manager Güldem Berkman said: "As a company that contributes to the development of leadership skills and career journeys of our female employees with the Extraordinary Women Leaders Program (WE2), we have a positive impact both in our company and in society." In order to create benefits, we carried out many awareness activities on Women's Day this year. We took part in IWD's campaign by posing with our employees. Women; People may encounter inequalities in society, companies and at home. We can all prevent these together; "We can build a world that is egalitarian and inclusive, where differences are valued," he said.

In the "Equal Work, Egalitarian Leader" seminar organized by Amgen on March 8, International Women's Day, the contribution of the increase in inclusive, supportive and compassionate leaders and colleagues in the workplace to equality was mentioned. The special session in question was attended by Awen For Us founder Dr. Aylin Löle and lecturer Assoc. Sevgi Kesim Güven guided. During the visit to the Foundation for the Evaluation of Women's Labor (KEDV), Amgen Volunteer Officers voluntarily supported the sorting and packaging of second-hand clothing donations.
