Businessman Mehmet Dursun, who was born in Dargeçit district of Mardin, paid his debt of loyalty to his hometown where he was born and raised by investing in a hotel where dozens of young people will be employed.

Businessman Dursun, who invested in Dargeçit district, said that the five-storey Rehber Hotel, which he built with its unique concept and in touch with nature, is a first in Mardin.

Stating that they decided to invest in a hotel in his hometown, Dargeçit district, after doing business for many years in different sectors in different provinces of Turkey, Dursun stated that they gained the appreciation of the people of the district regarding this investment.

Explaining that he decided to build this hotel to start the migration back to Dargeçit district, Dursun said, “This hotel is a first in its concept in Dargeçit district. We took the decision to make this investment 3 years ago and completed the construction of our hotel in a short time and opened it into service. Our hotel, which has 20 suite rooms and even has its own kitchen, has a capacity of 50 beds. Our hotel, which has a cafeteria, a restaurant and a lounge, is in an environment intertwined with nature, like Dargeçt. "We welcome here our guests from Mardin and outside Mardin who want to stay in the center of the city with the view of Dargeçit and spend a nice day in a quiet environment," he said.
Dursun also gave information about the Boncuklu Tarla, which was unearthed in Dargeçit the previous year and revealed by scientific studies to be older than Göbeklitepe, and added that the Assyrian bazaar in the town center and the historical churches and monasteries in the region are also worth seeing.
