Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu stated that they renewed the flights between Sirkeci and Kazlıçeşme in Istanbul after 11 years and started them again last week and that the line attracted great attention from the people of Istanbul.

Also within the scope of the project; Pointing out that 7,3 kilometers of pedestrian and bicycle paths were built, Uraloğlu said, “We contributed to the people of Istanbul by building 6 thousand square meters of closed social and cultural areas, 74 thousand square meters of green areas, 22 highways and pedestrian underpasses. "Thanks to its social areas that have changed the face of the region, it attracted great attention from our citizens of Istanbul even though it was opened only a week ago," he said. Emphasizing that more than 10 thousand citizens used the train line on the first day after the opening, and over 13 thousand on the second day, Uraloğlu underlined that the line was used by 80 thousand 446 citizens within a week.
“122 THOUSAND 550 SQUARE METERS RECREATION AREA”
Minister Uraloğlu explained that 215 thousand 92 square meters of the 450 thousand square meter working area was used for railway transportation and the remaining 122 thousand 550 square meters were arranged as recreation areas such as pedestrian walking area, bicycle and scooter track, and said: "The Sirkeci - Kazlıçeşme train, which was put into service after 11 years, Our Istanbul citizens loved the line very much. Nearly 11 thousand 500 citizens used this line every day. However, he said, "The number of our citizens using this green area, which we opened for pedestrian use by our citizens of Istanbul, has exceeded 100 thousand."
