Tropical Butterfly Garden to be Introduced at EMITT 2024 Fair

EMITT Tourism Fair, the international meeting point of the tourism industry, which was held for the 27th time this year, opened its doors to its visitors. Selçuklu Municipality took its place at the fair held at Istanbul TÜYAP Fair Center between 6-9 February with a stand where the historical and natural beauties of Konya were explained. At the stand, the historical and cultural riches of Konya and the Seljuks, as well as the Konya Tropical Butterfly Garden, which has the largest butterfly flight area in Europe, are introduced to thousands of visitors who come from different parts of the world and Turkey to visit the fair. In addition, guests who visit the stand of Selçuklu Municipality within the framework of the fair are given as gifts a succulent flower grown by the students of the Selçuklu Autistic Individuals Education Foundation (SOBE).

On the other hand, Selçuklu Municipality received the Best Stand Decoration plaque in the Destinations category with its Tropical Butterfly Garden stand at the EMMIT 2024 Fair.

CHAIRMAN PEKYATIRMACI: “WE REPRESENT THE ANCIENT CIVILIZATION SELJUKLU”

Stating that they contributed to the promotion of Konya at the EMITT fair, Selçuklu Mayor Ahmet Pekyaşmacı said, “We represent our ancient civilization Seljuk at this fair and we take care to explain its tourism potential on every platform. World-renowned fairs such as EMITT also help promote our work. We inform our visitors who come to our municipality's stand about the tourism activities we carry out in Konya and Selçuklu. Among these activities, Konya Tropical Butterfly Garden is of great importance. Because our butterfly garden is the most visited place by local and foreign tourists after the Mevlana Museum. Selçuklu Congress Center, which is also the largest congress center in Anatolia, offers the opportunity for social and cultural organizations such as all kinds of meetings, symposiums, fairs and exhibitions with its unique architecture and high-level technological infrastructure equipment. In this sense, our congress center enables our city to get a larger share of the congress cake. In our Konya, there are many rich places worth seeing and visiting in terms of both faith tourism and nature tourism. "I invite everyone to Konya to see these beauties," he said.
