Mayor Altay, who introduced the bridge junction by driving on the underpass with his official vehicle TOGG, said that one of the 1,5 important bridge junctions, which they implemented as the Metropolitan Municipality in order to ease the traffic in the center of Konya, with a cost of 4 billion liras, is the Istanbul Road Fırat Caddesi Bridge Junction.

Emphasizing that they are happy to fulfill another promise for Konya, Mayor Altay said, “Part of the operations of our Fırat Street Bridge Intersection have been completed and we have directed the traffic from below. As of now, we have opened it to traffic. Hopefully, we will complete all our operations by completing the upper parts as soon as possible. "Thus, we will complete the line coming from Beyşehir Road and going towards Afyon," he said.

Reminding that the construction of the 1,5 bridge junctions that they will bring to Konya at a cost of 4 billion is continuing rapidly, Mayor Altay said, “After the Sedirler Bridge Interchange, we are opening the Fırat Street Bridge Intersection. Our last traffic light was on Fırat Street. By eliminating this, we will ensure the uninterrupted flow of traffic in this direction. Another underpass worthy of Konya has been put into service.
