Tired Swan in Uzunköprü Was Rescued by the Gendarmerie

Gendarmerie teams, who took action upon a notice made via the HAYDİ (Animal Condition Monitoring) mobile application in Edirne, detected a swan in the garden of a citizen residing in Karapürçek village.

The first aid and feeding of the flightless swan was done by gendarmerie teams. The swan was then delivered to the Edirne Nature and National Parks Conservation Directorate for treatment and release to its natural habitat.

In the statement made by Edirne Provincial Gendarmerie Command: “Our work continues uninterruptedly to protect the environment, nature and animals. We evaluated the report made through the HAYDİ application and rescued the exhausted swan. "After the swan's treatment, we handed it over to the Directorate of Nature Conservation and National Parks to be released into its natural habitat." It was said.

This exemplary behavior of the Edirne Provincial Gendarmerie Command was appreciated by the citizens.
