The first powered test drive of the Kocaeli City Hospital Tram line, which is under construction by the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, took place. The tram departed from the bus station and headed towards the City Hospital from Adnan Menderes Boulevard. The test drive with tram vehicles within Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality is planned to continue for 10 days.
Infrastructure and superstructure works have been completed on the City Hospital Tram Line. The first powered test drive was made on the tram, which will facilitate citizens' transportation to the City Hospital with its 3 kilometer line length and 5 stations. During test drives, bags filled with sand were used instead of passengers. While the tram was progressing on the rails, many experts made inspections. After all the necessary tests are completed, the flights are planned to start in the coming days.
