Mayor Hilmi Bilgin, Hizmet-İş Union Deputy Chairman Halil Özdemir, Sivas Branch President Nihat Şimşek, institution managers and many municipal personnel attended the signing ceremony.
Speaking at the ceremony, Halil Özdemir, Deputy Chairman of the Service Labor Union, said, “Workers working all over Turkey are visible, but municipal workers are not visible. Noting that they have made serious improvements in the personnel rights of workers since they took office in 2019, Bilgin said, “While we serve our city, we serve you with confidence. We say this city will be clean, we trust our cleaning unit. We say that the parks and gardens of this city will be safe, we trust our parks and gardens unit. We say that the administrative units of this city will communicate with the citizens, we trust our brothers working in the administrative units. We say there will be no infrastructure problem, we trust our brothers working in the infrastructure. Therefore, if we appear to the nation with clear faces and understanding, it is because we trust you and you do not disappoint that trust. In order not to fall short of this, we have worked and are working to improve salaries, personal rights and social rights by maximizing opportunities in order to provide you with a better, more prosperous and prosperous life. We are increasing the base salaries of our Özbelsan personnel to a minimum of 122 thousand lira, a record increase of 33 percent. Following the speeches, a collective labor agreement was signed by the municipality and union authorities.
