Osmangazi Municipality teams, which constantly clean the carpets of 366 mosques in the district throughout the year, are cleaning the carpets in all mosques in the district one by one before the upcoming month of Ramadan. Osmangazi Municipality, which continues its efforts to make the mosques visited by a large number of people during Ramadan cleaner and more hygienic and to provide citizens with a more spacious environment, will clean 4 thousand square meters of carpets in 366 mosques in the district until Ramadan with a mobile team of 160 people.
Osmangazi Mayor Mustafa Dündar, who examined the cleaning works carried out in the mosques on site, said, “As Osmangazi Municipality, we clean our 366 mosques in Osmangazi district at regular intervals. By cleaning all the mosques in our district before the upcoming month of Ramadan, we create a healthy environment in these places where large congregations come during the holy month. We created 4 teams in our Osmangazi district. These teams will clean carpets in an area of 366 thousand square meters in 160 mosques until Ramadan. The cleanings are done with superior technology. In mosques, carpets are sprayed with anti-bacterial pesticides and dirt and germs on the carpets are eliminated by vacuum cleaning. "By spraying essential oil after cleaning, our mosques turn into more spacious and pleasant-smelling places," he said.

Harun Gül, a member of the mosque community, stated that he was very pleased with the Osmangazi Municipality's cleaning of the mosques before Ramadan and said, "Our Mayor Mustafa has the carpets of the Mihraplı Mosque cleaned before this Ramadan, as he does every Ramadan. While spiritual cleaning is carried out in three months, our Osmangazi Municipality also attaches great importance to material cleaning.
