The Metropolitan Municipality, which has implemented many investments such as rail systems, new roads, smart intersections and public transportation in order to produce radical solutions to transportation in Bursa, continues its efforts to make the existing roads healthier in all regions of the city. Within the scope of asphalt renewal works, work has started on Celal Bayar Street, which is 2 kilometers and 12 meters wide, between the center and Umurbey in Gemlik district. The old asphalt will be completely removed and replaced with 1850 tons of asphalt and the road will be completely renewed.
We are trying to provide support to each district in line with its needs. Umurbey is one of the most beautiful parts of Gemlik. It is one of the special regions of our city, where our 3rd President, the late Celal Bayar, is buried, where there are also tombs of important people, and with its authentic structure. Umurbey is a settlement open to development. Our state has brought the renovation works related to the Celal Bayar Museum to the final stage. As Bursa Metropolitan Municipality, we carried out the complete restoration of Umurbey Central Mosque. Now we are rapidly carrying out the asphalt replacement work of the road from Gemlik to Umurbey. A distance of 2 kilometers costs 11 million. "We will complete the process completely within a week," he said.
Stating that wire fencing works have started in Umurbey Cemetery, Mayor Aktaş said, “Cemeteries are precious and precious to us. We are a society that protects and values our ancestors. It was conveyed to us that the area around Umurbey cemetery should be protected. We will manufacture 1100 cm high panel fences on 80 meters long walls in two separate cemeteries. We will complete the installation of the fences on the walls whose pulp stones have been removed within 10 days. During Ramadan and the subsequent Eid, our citizens of Gemlik will visit the cemetery in a healthier way. "I wish the work done so far to be auspicious," he said.
