70 percent of the construction of the 'Main City Parking and Square Project' by Samsun Metropolitan Municipality has been completed.

Samsun Metropolitan Municipality continues its investments in line with the aim of increasing the number of parking lots and living spaces in the city. The Metropolitan Municipality, which started the car park and square project after the demolition of the old Anakent Business Center located between Bankalar Street and Jewelers Bazaar, continues its work uninterruptedly. The 'Main City Parking and Square Project', which has reached 70 percent physical completion in its construction, consists of a 222-car parking lot, a square and a cafe.

PHYSICAL REALIZATION REACHED 70 PERCENT

Providing information about the latest situation in the project, Metropolitan Municipality Technical Affairs Department Head Nurettin Özbey said, “This project is one of the steps we have taken to solve the parking problem, which is one of the important needs of Samsun and this region. In our project, we are building a 3-storey underground car park with a capacity of 222 vehicles. We don't just build parking lots. Based on the fact that Samsun needs squares and breathing spaces as much as it needs parking lots, we are turning the top of this area into a square. It will be a very stylish cafe that will meet people's needs. There will be men's and women's WCs. There will be an ablution facility. We are building a spacious area for people with ornamental pools and landscaping. We are implementing a project worth Samsun. We have reached the final stage of our work. Physical realization of the project is around 70 percent. "We aim to continue our work rapidly and complete the project in April," he said.
