Ulaş Karasu: 'Who are the Third Parties in TCDD's Statement?'

CHP Deputy Chairman and Sivas Deputy Ulaş Karasu brought the incident that punctured the tunnel and rails through which the Kağıthane-Istanbul Airport Metro line passes, and brought back the brink of disaster, to the agenda of the Parliament. “If a disaster had occurred, who would be responsible for it?” Karasu asked, "3. He asked for clarification as to who the "individuals" are.

At the weekend, the brink of disaster was avoided in the Kağıthane-Istanbul Airport Metro line tunnel, which is affiliated with the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure. The tunnel was damaged due to pile manufacturing carried out on the surface between Kemerburgaz and Göktürk on the metro line. According to eyewitnesses, the incident occurred 1094-120 minutes after the passing train at around 15 am, on the line where there are trains with a capacity of 20 passengers, a speed of 11.30 km and running at intervals of 3-4 minutes. The drill drilled the tunnel and landed on the rails, destroying the rails. Since the electrical equipment was also damaged, the flights were operated as a single line.

INSERIOUS STATEMENT

However, in the statement made by TCDD, they tried to alleviate the incident and said: "The tunnel wall was damaged due to pile manufacturing carried out by third parties on the surface. Since our metro operating system was established to protect itself against all kinds of external factors, it instantly detected the external impact and protected all trains. "No system damage occurred."

ASKED THE MINISTER: WHO ARE THESE THIRD PARTIES?

Emphasizing that a disaster has been avoided on the line used by thousands of citizens, CHP Deputy Chairman of the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, Karasu, brought the issue to the agenda of the Turkish Grand National Assembly. “Which institutions and companies are the contractors who commission and carry out work without a plan or a project? "If the disaster mentioned in the proposal had occurred, who would be responsible for it?" Asking the Minister, Karasu said, "From whom, when and for which work did the company or institution doing the drilling in question receive permission?" Wasn't any Geographic Information Systems-based or other information system used during the transaction? He also asked for an answer to his question.

In the statement made by TCDD after the incident, "3. Karasu, who wanted to clarify who the "individuals" are and whether these people have any interest or connection with Eyüp Municipality, said that some of the questions that Minister Uraloğlu wants answered are as follows:

-Is there an administrative investigation opened by your ministry after the incident? If so, what is the outcome as of the date the proposal was answered?

-What is the reason for not making a statement on this issue, even though you were at the "Kağıthane - Gayrettepe" stage, the last link of the Gayrettepe-Istanbul Airport Metro Line, on the day of the incident and took a test drive? Does the fact that you have not made a statement mean that you do not value the life safety of our citizens using the line and that you are a part of this irresponsibility?

-How many work accidents have occurred in the last three years at the metro construction sites in Istanbul under the responsibility of your ministry, each shown separately?

-What are the measures taken by your ministry to prevent the incident outlined in the proposal and similar incidents?
