Sivas Mayor and AK Party Mayoral Candidate Hilmi Bilgin met with the AK Party Central District Organization at the consultation meeting.
In addition to Bilgin, AK Party Provincial Chairman Yusuf Tanrıverdi, Central District Chairman Burak Kuruçay, Youth Branch Chairman Fatih Sakarya, Election Coordination Center Chairman Eyüp Demirer, organization members and neighborhood heads attended the meeting.
Central District Chairman Burak Kuruçay, who first addressed the participants at the meeting, stated that Turkey will enter one of the most important elections on March 31 and said, "All elections are more important than each other. But this choice is once again important. Hopefully, in the elections on March 31, we will scan the field, street by street, street by street, house by house, to reach out to our fellow citizens one by one and help each other. After taking their ideas and opinions, we will hopefully have our Mayor elected with a higher vote rate than in the previous elections. We do not say anything about what elders say. I believe that we will continue to work door to door, day and night. This is not just in the central district, we have 65 neighborhoods and 153 villages in the central district. All of our village leaders in the villages actively exchange ideas with us every day on how to make a program. Everyone has a desire and desire. We believe that we will win the election. As our esteemed President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said, 'those who have Sivas behind them will never be defeated'. I also want to say this, Hilmi Bilgin, who has the central district behind him, will not be disappointed either.” he said.
'MAY WE ALL BE ABLE TO MEET WITH A NEW VICTORY'
Election Coordination Center President Eyüp Demirer said, “This organization is entrusted to us by our President. You have been protecting this trust for five years. May God bless you all. We started to work actively as our Coordination Center Presidency. This is our home now. I'm waiting for you all at the election coordination center. We will carry out our work and activities from every branch of our city. We won the flag with 49%. Hopefully, we will increase our vote by getting 58% or more, which is the number of votes in our province. May we all be blessed with a new victory on the evening of March 31.” said.
Youth Branch President Fatih Sakarya said, “Hopefully, we will all send support to our President from Sivas on March 31 with a good result. I believe that every level of the AK Party organizations, the central district, women's branches, youth branches and the provincial organization are completely locked down, ready for the election. Our President trusts Sivas, he trusts us, he trusts our organization, he trusts our President Hilmi very much. We will not embarrass him either.” he said.
Noting that the AK Party is a big family, Provincial Chairman Yusuf Tanrıverdi said, “We are all on equal footing. Because we are people who believe in this cause behind Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. There is no difference between a provincial president and a neighborhood president. It shouldn't happen... Because we all serve the same cause. We have an important choice before us. Don't stop until March 31, keep going. Just as we have been continuing for 23 years, we will continue our journey without slowing down. Together, we will make our Mayor Hilmi Mayor again. Our goal is to go above 58%. “Hopefully, we will be successful on this path, we are determined and ready.” he said.
Finally, addressing the participants, Mayor Hilmi Bilgin said, “There is nothing that the AK Party organization wants or cannot do. Today, we have organizations in our 65 neighborhoods that are valuable and loyal to their cause, like Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. Hopefully, in the coming period, with this determination, this love, this enthusiasm, we will once again overcome the challenge with the highest vote rate on the evening of March 31, thanking our Lord and thanking our nation. As you know, our biggest rival in the field is the AK Party. Our opponent is the AK Party. We all know what the result will be no matter how hard we do our job, how serious we take it, how hard we work. How do we know? We had elections 17 times before this. We achieved this 17 times. AK Party organizations stood firm as a rock behind their leader and succeeded with success in every election. We will achieve this once again. Because we trust our nation, we believe in our organization. “We have a strong, determined organizational structure that knows what it wants and believes in how to do what it wants.” said.
Stating that they will work without complacency, Bilgin said, “Our opponent is complacency. As long as we don't become complacent, we said 58 because Sivas' license plate is 58. If it was 60, we would say 60 and we will achieve it. We have a very long and very short time ahead of us. Our duty is to spend these 60 days to work, work, work in a way befitting the AK Party organization, in a way befitting its leader... On the evening of March 31, each of us, from the provincial president to the ballot box officer to the ballot box consultant, if we can say this, 'I am the supporter of my leader, my party, my organization. I have fulfilled every responsibility he gave me. If the polls close with a clear conscience, be sure that we are the winners, regardless of the outcome. Because we are responsible for the expedition in our belief. It is my Lord who will grant victory. After we do our part and do what is necessary, no matter what the outcome is, we say 'it is good for us, this is the nation's choice' and accept it. “We have done this until today.” he said.
'THE GOVERNMENT DID NOT WEAR US'
President Bilgin continued his speech; “We set off on November 3, 2002. We have been in power for 21 years so far. As a mayoral candidate of a 21-year-old party, as a provincial chairman, as a neighborhood chairman, it was difficult to be on the field in Turkey before the AK Party. In the politics before the AK Party, it was said that power wears out. But thank God, the government did not wear us out. The government made us stronger. We did not use power for ourselves. We used power as a tool to serve the nation. For 21 years, we have served every inch of the country, every square meter where the flag flies, every square centimeter. We have put at the disposal of our nation almost all of the services that we promised 5 years ago, which should be done together with you for 5 years. We've had a difficult 5 years. It was a pandemic, an earthquake, for different reasons, but despite this, we did not take refuge in excuses. We didn't make excuses. We made a promise to the nation and hopefully, in the next 5 years, through you, we will be able to continue our 5-year activities and services as 'We promised, we did it!' We prepared it with the book. We will deliver it to the nation. The bottom line is my fellow defendants. We are actually carrying a trust. This trust is the trust of the nation as the ruling party. "We carry the honor, pride and at the same time the responsibility of serving this nation, which was founded on August 14, 2001 and came to power on November 3, 2002, both locally and generally, uninterruptedly since then."
