Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality Snow Fighting Teams are working to prevent the snowfall that affects the high-altitude Kartepe summit road and Başiskele Aytepe Diriliş Camp from adversely affecting transportation.

Snow Fighting Teams, who started to work in high areas with work machines such as greyder, pto, loader, unimork and on-duty personnel, carry out salting and shoveling works to prevent snowfall from causing icing and closure on the roads. It is estimated that the snowfall, which is currently affecting the higher areas, will increase the weekend activity throughout the city. In accordance with the weather forecast reports received from the meteorology, all necessary precautions were taken by the Metropolitan Municipality Department of Technical Affairs Snow Fighting Teams; Kartepe Zirve Road, Power Plant Ramp in Izmit, Umuttepe, Miralay Mümtaz Street, Bağçeşme, Arızlı, Gündoğdu, Radar Ramp, Kuruçeşme Toki Residences, Aytepe Diriliş Camp Road in Başiskele, Dam road-Cami Düzü-Doğantepe-Serinlik Connection Road. It will continue its work to keep the roads open and free of ice at all points where they are needed.
