With this agreement, the two NGOs aim to join forces in activities aimed at culture, education and science in Bursa and its surroundings.

Razgırat: “We joined our forces”

Sculpture Rotary Club President Ozan Razgırat said, “After becoming a member of the Bursa Unesco Association, I learned about the work done and when I saw that they were walking towards the same goal as Rotary, which I have been a part of for 19 years, a question came to my mind: why don't we join forces?” "Thereupon, our governor had the opportunity to meet my president during a trip to Bursa and we realized that we were united on common issues," he said. Razgırat emphasized that it does not matter if the paths are different when the goal to be achieved is the same and said, “We thought that we could only get closer to the goal with a strong cooperation, and as a result, we decided to take action. "May the agreement be beneficial for both NGOs," he said.

Özaslan: “This bridge established with Rotary will provide great benefit”

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Bursa Unesco Association President İlker Özaslan explained that their association has established local and international connections since its establishment in Bursa in 1998, and its efforts to build an institutional structure as a strong NGO. Stating that they started to work to restore the historical house in Misi Village and turn it into a museum by assigning it to the association, Özaslan said, “As the initiatives carried out by the Ministry of Culture and the European Union for accreditation yielded results, approval was received from the ministry to turn the historical house in Misi into a museum. "I believe that the collaboration with Rotary clubs, which are well-established and known for their work towards society around the world, will be very beneficial to Bursa and our association," he said.

Özeren: “We are running in the same lane”

Rotary International Region 2440 Governor Ayda Özeren stated that as a non-governmental organization that serves peace through friendship and has continued this for 119 years, such a cooperation agreement is an honor for her institution. Emphasizing that Rotary is the first non-governmental organization to have a delegate at the United Nations with its humanity service projects, Özeren stated that the two institutions running in the same lane carrying the flag together will provide significant power in contributing to world peace, which is our main goal.
