Home Care Aids Started to Be Deposited to Accounts

Minister of Family and Social Services Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş said that they started to deposit a total of 2,8 billion TL of Home Care Assistance into accounts this month in order to provide economic support to fully dependent citizens and their families who are cared for at home.

Minister Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş reminded that Home Care Assistance, one of the most important family-oriented care service models offered by the ministry, was launched in 2006 with the idea of ​​supporting disabled individuals primarily with their families. Göktaş said, “We prioritize the care of our disabled citizens at home in a way that preserves their family integrity. "With Home Care Assistance, we support the preservation and strengthening of family unity by living with the family or relatives of disabled people without leaving their living environment," he said.

Total 116,2 Billion Home Care Payments Made

Göktaş emphasized that family integrity is protected by supporting citizens who take care of their fully dependent relatives in need of care with Home Care Assistance, and reminded that an average of 560 thousand citizens benefit from "Home Care Assistance" monthly and 5.097 TL is paid per beneficiary per month.

Minister Göktaş said, "This month, we started to deposit a total of 2,8 billion TL of Home Care Assistance into accounts for fully dependent citizens and their families who are cared for at home. We paid a total of 2023 billion TL in Home Care Assistance in 116,2. I hope that the payments will be beneficial to all our disabled citizens and their families. "As a ministry, within the framework of our Turkey Century Vision, we will continue our efforts to ensure that rights-based social assistance in the field of disability is sustainable with a transparent understanding." On the other hand, with the new regulation in the civil servant salary coefficient for January, Home Care Assistance payments will be deposited to the accounts of beneficiaries in February, increasing by 7.608 TL.
