Built by the Metropolitan Municipality, a modern covered market place similar to the ones offered to citizens in Kestel, Gürsu and Yenişehir was brought to Yıldırım's Arabayatağı District. The indoor marketplace, which was built as a 4850-storey building on a floor area of 2 square meters in the existing market area, started to serve with the establishment of the first market. The indoor marketplace, which includes 530 market stalls, a prayer room, ablution facilities, toilets, storage areas and technical areas, will offer both marketers and local people the opportunity to shop in a healthier and more comfortable environment in summer and winter.
Neighborhood residents, who were impatiently waiting for the construction to be completed and the market to open as soon as possible, enjoyed shopping in the indoor area. Residents of the region, who stated that shopping at markets in rainy weather, especially in winter months, was a complete pain before, stated that now they will enjoy shopping in a closed environment, regardless of summer or winter, and thanked the Metropolitan Municipality for this service. While citizens only spent 1-2 hours in the market, the marketers, who waited at their stalls from the first light of the morning until dusk, thanked the Mayor of the Metropolitan Municipality, Alinur Aktaş, for providing them with such a comfortable environment.
