"Bayraklı City Hospital Staff: "We are exhausted"

HEP-SEN, Izmir Bayraklı In his statement in front of the City Hospital, he said, "Adequate Employment is Not Provided" Bayraklı The phrase "We Are Exhausted at City Hospital, We Continue to Exhaust" made its mark. Chairman Yunus Şimşek, Minister of Health Dr. to solve the problems in the City Hospital, which has become a tangle of problems. He invited Fahrettin Koca to Izmir.
HEP-SEN Izmir Branch President Kemal Yılmaz, in his speech, talked about the huge Izmir Bayraklı He said that there are not enough health professionals at the City Hospital to serve the people of Izmir and the region. Yılmaz said, “Unfortunately, we are exhausted in this period when service is prioritized within the scope of the Health Transformation Program, service providers are cared less about, public health services are started to be privatized with neoliberal policies, which became more evident in the last pandemic outbreak, and health workers are not cared about at all. Dozens of university hospitals are being established, thousands of students are admitted every year, but we have no teachers. Dozens of hospitals are being opened, thousands of beds are being purchased, we have tens of thousands of patients every year, but we have no physicians, no nurses, no midwives, no physiotherapists, anesthesiologists, x-ray technicians or medical secretaries. There are not enough health professionals to work in this huge building behind me, where we try to serve our people with 39 health branches. Izmir residents and healthcare professionals cannot reach the huge hospital. Both the Ministry of Health and Izmir Metropolitan Municipality abandoned the people of Izmir and healthcare professionals to their fate. "In order for the City Hospital to provide service, capacity reductions have been made in many hospitals in the city center," he said.

Health workers Bayraklı Counting the Days Like a 'Prisoner' at the City Hospital
Bayraklı City Hospital opened in mid-October. It has a capacity of 2060 beds. But there is not a single healthcare worker here. All healthcare personnel working here are employed here on mandatory temporary assignment from hospitals in the center and districts. Such lack of planning without appointment disrupts the order and health of our healthcare professionals. 39 health branches that provide services are counting the days like prisoners in this institution. These people are servants of the state and not slaves of anyone. 99 years ago, our Great Leader Mustafa Kemal Pasha went to the Izmir dock and said, “I love Izmir and all the people of Izmir. He expressed his trust and love for the people of Izmir by saying, "I am sure that the pure-hearted people of beautiful Izmir also love me." However, at this point today, dear Izmir residents and our valued colleagues are exhausted in the face of all the problems facing healthcare professionals, especially the lack of employment in this hospital.”

Chairman Şimşek Invited Minister Koca to Izmir for the Solution of the Problems
HEP-SEN Chairman Yunus Şimşek, Minister of Health Dr. He invited Fahrettin Koca to Izmir to solve the problems they brought up. Şimşek made the following statements in his speech: "Izmir, which should have been completed in 3 years, could not be completed in 10 years, and whose opening was postponed 8 times. Bayraklı We are in front of the City Hospital. Dear people of Izmir, do not be fooled by these magnificent and majestic buildings. Everything is rosy for those who erect huge buildings, conglomerates and bosses. The buildings are okay, but there is no doctor, nurse, midwife or technician to work in them. Dear citizens, in all this, there is no medical staff to treat the patients, and there is no medicine either. There is no disinfectant inside, as the public say, there is not even a band-aid. Clever officials said, "The solution is simple." Physicians, nurses and midwives from the hospitals that continue to serve with sudden decisions made a sudden decision and said that you are going to the city hospital, sorry, to the 'out-of-town' hospital. You do not have the right to do this to our health workers from Bozyaka, Yeşilyurt, Behçet Uz, Suat Seren, Çiğli and Buca public hospitals. We are calling out to the Minister of Health: 'Take care of the health workers who serve Izmir and the people of Izmir.' These institutions are not the institutions of bosses or companies, but the institutions of the state itself. We said we would come as the movement of all of you, ALL-YOU, and here we are in the square. "We will not remain silent until this grievance is resolved, we will not stop, we said we came, we are here, we will come again."
