Noting that, as PANKOBİRLİK, they are a union that produces 35 to 36 percent of sugar, President Erkoyuncu said, “Our leader is Turkish Sugar. On the other hand, there are 6 sugar factories under the responsibility of beets or Pankobirlik. The price of beet is currently 1855 lira. I'm not counting the fleece and other costs. Turkish Sugar announced the price as 27 lira and made a discount at an unprecedented rate in history. Currently, sugar is 21 and a half lira. Food increase price is below the inflation average in Turkey. "Our average increase in agricultural products was not even 25 percent," he said.

“WE ESTABLISHED AN EMERGENCY RESPONSE TEAM”

Mayor Erkoyuncu stated that Central Anatolia does not receive enough rainfall and groundwater is largely depleted, and underlined that he is open to projects and consultations. President Erkoyuncu made the following statements in his statement: “We have a huge water problem, especially in Central Anatolia. We supply 90-95 percent of the water from underground. Those waters have now gone deep underground. It is not a situation unique to Konya and Central Anatolia. There is a large loss of groundwater. We used November like a refrigerator. When we look at it now, the weather is just starting to get colder. The beets have started to deteriorate, albeit slightly. We established an emergency response team to detect deterioration very quickly and take precautions. We all need to take precautions together. We need to raise awareness through university cooperation, external knowledge transfer, informing farmers, seminars and panels. We need to be sensitive about this issue. Konya plain received very little rainfall. "We need to raise awareness about irrigation and develop water-resistant varieties or seeds for products that require the least amount of water in the products we produce."
S.S. At the 51st Ordinary Financial General Assembly of the Beet Growers Cooperatives Union, the management and audit boards and the activity period accounts were unanimously acquitted, and the work program for the next activity year was accepted with full consensus.
