Antalya Metropolitan Municipality continues its support to agriculture and farmers within the scope of local development projects. In this context, Antalya Metropolitan Municipality Agricultural Services Department teams donated "burgundy slurry", an agricultural pesticide, to the local people who earn their living from agriculture in Kovanlık District of Döşemealtı district. 1500 packages of claret slurry were distributed to farmers in Kovanlık District for an area of ​​200 decares. Kovanlık District farmers will use the "burgundy slurry", which is used as a precaution against bacterial and fungal diseases, on their olive trees. After the olive harvest, the burgundy slurry used in the spring months provides protection to the trees before the new season. Bordeaux mixture protects the tree against bacterial and fungal diseases that cause productivity to decrease.

For this reason, we supported our farmers in Kovanlık District with a burgundy slurry grant. "When this pesticide is not used, trees are damaged and this causes economic loss," he said.
