At the "Railway Wheel Production Workshop" organized by Karabük Iron and Steel Factories (KARDEMİR), important decisions were taken regarding the localization and development of railway wheel production.
At the workshop, it was emphasized that Turkey's entire need for railway wheels was met by imports, but this need began to be met with KARDEMİR's start of domestic and national production. This situation made significant contributions to the local and national industry.
In the workshop, issues such as domestic and national railway wheel production as well as increasing product diversity and production capacities were also discussed. Wheel types that should be nationalized within the scope of new targets and plans and common targets were discussed.

In the workshop, technical authorized persons from TCDD General Directorate, TÜRASAŞ General Directorate, TÜRASAŞ Sivas and Sakarya regional directorates, Körfez Ulatma AŞ, Acarlar Vagon and Özar Group, as well as KARDEMİR General Manager Necdet Utkanlar, Deputy General Manager of Enterprises Ahmet Aycan, General Manager of Financial Affairs.
