Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change Mehmet Özhaseki stated that they started the first digging for village houses to be made of light steel in the earthquake zone. Minister Özhaseki said, “Our citizens, who applied for our 'On-Site Transformation' project in Adıyaman Sincik and received grant and loan support, started the construction of 14 steel village houses in the first stage, 'under the supervision of our Ministry and under the assurance of TOKİ'. Some of our village houses, which we will build to be more durable, safer and more energy efficient, will also have stables.” said.

The first diggings for the 100 thousand light steel village houses to be built by the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change to replace the damaged village houses in the earthquake zone were started in Sincik district of Adıyaman.

In the video shared by Minister Mehmet Özhaseki on his social media account, images of the construction processes of light steel village houses were included. In the video, Şükrü Serkan Afacan, Project Manager of a private company, also gave information about the work. Afacan stated that the light steel village houses to be built for citizens whose applications for the 'On-Site Transformation' project have been approved will be single-storey in some regions and 2-storey with stables in some regions.

“The biggest advantage of steel houses is that they are earthquake resistant.” Afacan stated that steel houses have a great advantage in heat and sound insulation as they are very strong in terms of insulation. Afacan said that in this respect, light steel village houses will benefit energy efficiency. Stating that steel houses are the most widely used system in the world, Afacan noted that the steel houses they have started to build will soon be delivered to citizens on turnkey basis, with everything from A to Z.
