The enthusiasm of Mersin Metropolitan Municipality's '2nd International Tarsus Festival', which left its mark on the city, began to surround the city. Georgian and Macedonian Folk Dance Ensembles performed shows at the Stone Building, Mersin Train Station, Forum and Marina Shopping Center. Dance troupes fascinated the audience with their colorful dances and costumes.

The festival will take place on 17-18-19 November with the theme of 'Şahmeran'; Many events await the participants, from workshops to workshops, from fashion shows to interviews, from film screenings to national and international folk dance troupe performances. At the festival, which is organized under the coordination of the Department of Culture and Social Affairs and will be full, popular artists Simge, Manuş Baba and Melek Mosso will take the stage and enthuse the people of Mersin with their songs.

Those who watched the dance show were amazed

Hülya Özdemir, who said that she enjoyed the dance show very much and stated that she was a Bosnian immigrant, said: “I was very touched when I saw the people dancing. It was nice to remember my younger days again. I felt like playing those tunes. We are glad that our Metropolitan Municipality organized such an event. Everything the Metropolitan does is great, I love everything. I go to festivals, I travel. For us, after this age, we have to watch these things. "Especially if the smell of the country comes, it becomes even better and the taste is insatiable," he said.

Stating that the festival was well thought out to promote the culture of Tarsus and Mersin, Duran Kunt said, “I find the events here more beautiful than the culture and art activities held in other provinces. Those who watch such events should feel lucky. They're trying to do the best they can. "We are satisfied culturally," he said.

Derya Koç, who came from Isparta to visit relatives, said that she enjoyed the event very much and said, “Culture is always wealth for a person. It is great to have such festivals and events. "Mersin's air, water and people are beautiful," he said.

Sevgi Güner, one of the children who watched the dance team's performances with interest, said, "They had really fun games. I'm amazed. I think our country's games are just as beautiful and entertaining. I would also like to try the dances, the costumes were wonderful. What caught my attention the most were the women's clothes. "They looked very delicate and pretty," he said.

Noting that the dance troupes gave an enjoyable show, university student Hüseyin Tehci said, “I came to the train station to go to Adana, and I was surprised when I encountered such a show. I watched the show and loved it. "I am thinking of attending the festival too, it will be a very enjoyable festival," he said.
