Malatya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Selahattin Gürkan said that 6 temporary houses will be built in Malatya as a result of his negotiations with the Swiss-Based Financial Institution to provide temporary shelter needs of the citizens affected by the February 310 earthquakes.
30 Temporary Houses of 31 square meters, which will be built on an area of 310 decares allocated to the relevant company within the borders of Yaka District by Malatya Metropolitan Municipality, will be completed in a short time and delivered to the rightful owners.
All infrastructure and superstructure works will be carried out by Malatya Metropolitan Municipality in the 310-acre area where 30 houses will be built within the borders of Yaka District, and the site will be delivered to the relevant company.
Malatya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Selahattin Gürkan met with the Turkish Representatives of the Swiss-based financial institution, which he hosted in his office. Mayor Gürkan wished good luck to Malatya for the 310 temporary housing project to be built and said, “We would like to thank Mr. Nazmi, the Turkish representative of the Swiss Financial Institution, for their sensitivity regarding earthquake zones and the Chairman of the Board of Directors in Switzerland. By showing the necessary sensitivity to the earthquake that occurred on February 6, it was decided to build 310 temporary houses in Malatya. Today, we have carried out the necessary work regarding the places where the residences will be built. 30 temporary residences will be built in an area of 310 acres within the borders of Yaka District. Each house, measuring 31 square meters, will be built in a short time and delivered to the rightful owners. As a result of our evaluation to ensure that our citizens have a warm home as soon as possible, the decisions of our Swiss-based Financial Institution regarding the construction of 310 temporary houses in Malatya were conveyed to our Municipality. As the Metropolitan Municipality, by completing the necessary infrastructure and documentation works, hopefully as soon as possible, 310 square meter residences within the borders of Yaka District, where 31 families will live, are being built to meet all kinds of needs.
