The Hospital Different Level Junction, which was built in the city center of Adıyaman to ease the traffic in the area where Adıyaman Training and Research Hospital and Adıyaman Intercity Bus Terminal are located, was put into service on Wednesday, August 23, with the public opening ceremony attended by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan via live connection. The ceremony held in Adıyaman was attended by Minister of Transport Abdulkadir Uraloğlu and General Director of Highways Ahmet Gülşen, as well as bureaucrats from public institutions, deputies, mayors and many citizens.
Speaking at the ceremony, President Erdoğan said, “Even though 200 days have passed since the earthquake, our hearts are still hurting. The greater the disaster we experience, the greater our power to heal the wounds. We have mobilized all the means of our state and nation for the reconstruction of our earthquake zone and aid.” said.
Stating, “We are also meeting the needs of Adıyaman regarding transportation infrastructure,” Erdoğan continued as follows: “Work continues on our 8 highway projects such as Besni-Araban, Kahta-Narince-Nissibi, Gölbaşı-Adıyaman-Kahta Roads. Today, we are opening the Adıyaman Hospital Different Level Junction, one of the most important of these projects.”
Making a speech before the ceremony, Minister Uraloğlu said, “We will strive to serve our Adıyaman more because of the earthquake, just as we will serve our 81 provinces.” said. The intersection, which was put into service, is not only to the hospital, not to the bus station; Stating that it will seriously serve the container and prefabricated cities of K2, K6 and K10, Minister Uraloğlu said, “Our Different Level Junction is a production of approximately 320 million liras. Likewise, we will provide the connection of approximately 2,5 kilometers of our Çelikhan provincial road within the same scope. We will have made the tender for Çelikhan Road in 2023 before the end of the year. Hopefully, we will start work in 2024.”
Within the scope of the project, a total of 1.050 meters of connection road, 2 meters of which is underpass, and an 200-meter bridge junction, were put into service in the standard of bituminous hot mix paved divided road.
With the Adıyaman Hospital Different Level Junction, the intercity transit traffic was taken to the underpass and fast and safe access to the hospital and the terminal was established. Thanks to the project, the traffic density that may occur in the region was prevented, and the high standard transportation of the heavy tonnage vehicle traffic to the city was facilitated at the point of the restructuring of Adıyaman and the transportation of the necessary materials.
