The New Favorite of Cruise Tourism: Ordu

Ordu, the New Favorite of Cruise Tourism
Ordu, the New Favorite of Cruise Tourism

Ordu gets its share from the increasing cruise tourism pie in Turkey. Unye Port, which has been hosting giant cruise ships since December 2022, has enabled tourism to become active in Ordu.

Metropolitan Mayor Dr. Ünye Port, which has been brought to the level of international competence with the works carried out by Mehmet Hilmi Güler since the day he took office, continues to bear fruit with each passing day. The port, which was opened to Ro-Ro and container transportation after the enlargement works, also hosts cruise tourism.

THOUSANDS OF TOURISTS WELCOME

Ordu became the new route of cruise voyages, which are mainly made in regions where sea tourism is common. Ships that stopped at the ports of Trabzon, Amasra and Istanbul before, have now added Ordu to their route. Departing from Russia for 6 months and arriving in Ordu, one of its routes, the cruise ship has sailed to Ünye Port 7 times.

Tourists who come to Ordu with the organized expeditions have the opportunity to visit the historical and natural beauties of the city with tours and do plenty of shopping.

Cruise tourism not only revives marine tourism, but also contributes significantly to Ordu's economy.

THE TRIPS WILL CONTINUE

Unye Port, one of Ordu's gateways to the world, will continue to host many cruise ships from now on.
