The 20th Şefik Bursalı Painting Contest, organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, has concluded. According to the statement made by the Ministry, 430 works were accepted this year for the competition organized to keep the memory of Şefik Bursalı, one of our painters, who has an important place in the development process of Turkish painting, alive, and to support, evaluate and exhibit the works of artists in the field of plastic arts.
Award-winning artists
Cenk Mısırlıoğlu, Emre Çalış, Sedat Gökçe, Semih Çınar and Yasemin Kaplan were deemed worthy of the Achievement Award in the competition.
The artists whose works are deemed worthy of exhibit are Abdulaziz Özdemir, Abdullah Ersiyonyen, Aslıhan Urus, Atiye Özel, Ayla Erol, Ayşe Odabaş Bülbül, Baran Alkaner, Beyza Purtaş, Burak Erim, Canan Altınışık Ercan, Duru Bozkurt, Elif Özlem Kınık, Ercan Sağlam, Fatma Barut. Öz, Fırat Payan, Güzin Dağsuyu, Hatice Seher Ünal, Hatice Yılmaz, Hilal Topkan, İbrahim Gündem, İbrahim Karlıca, İrem Karagöz Tailor, Jale Ersoy, Kadriye Deniz Akça, Maide Ekmen, Mustafa Devran Tosun, Neslihan Akkaya, Nevcihan Yegül, Nursun Hafızoğlu , Oğuzhan Atatanır, Özlem Ceyhuni, Salim Yılmaz, Selma Kulan, Soner Civrizoğlu, Türkan As, Uğur Yılmaz, Yasin Live, Yonca Saldamlı, Zehra Çiçek, Zeynep Baloğlu.
A monetary award of 5 thousand liras will be presented to 15 people who receive the Achievement Award, and 40 thousand lira each to 2 people for the exhibition, a total of 155 thousand liras. The competition, its exhibition and the award ceremony will be announced on the website of Güzelsanatlar.gov.tr in the coming days.
