Students of SEV American College (SAC), one of the American High Schools affiliated with SEV, participated in the international competition organized by Young Reporters International with the project titled “Fast Fashion and Its Effects”, which they carried out with the students of the 3rd Experimental Lyceum of Komotini in Greece.

They addressed sustainability

The work, realized as part of the collaboration between SAC and the 3rd Experimental Lyceum of Komotini, focuses on sustainability. In the project, which focuses on the damage caused by the fashion industry, waste clothes, rapid production-consumption network to the environment, the students of the two institutions have been doing a lot of research since January, such as creating surveys, conducting surveys, conducting interviews, informing their friends at school in the light of the data they have collected, and generating ideas for the recycling of clothes. numerous collaborative works.

Students who prepared a joint project had a unique experience

In the Turkey-Greece joint presentation held at SAC, where the Greek team was connected online, the students also informed their friends at SAC about the project. The application stage to the competition was completed with the video that includes the works done throughout the process, which offers a unique experience for students from both countries.

Winners will receive an internationally recognized award certificate.

The winning teams in the competition organized by Young Reporters International will be announced in early June.
