China has sent a new meteorological satellite called Fengyun-3 07 into space. It was stated that Fengyun-09.36 4, which was launched from Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center at 3:07 this morning with a Long March-XNUMXB rocket, is the first meteorological satellite developed by China with the function of measuring precipitation in orbit.

China has become the third country, after the United States and Japan, to send a satellite with precipitation measurement functionality into space. The satellite is expected to be used in areas such as weather forecasting, disaster prevention and mitigation, combating climate change and environmental protection.

On the other hand, the last launch was recorded as the 471st mission of the Long March carrier rocket series.
