Referring to Kurt, who spoke before him, to describe the basis they will lay as “truth”, İmamoğlu said to his citizens, “When the foundation becomes reality, the community becomes real. We establish such a sincere communication. Thank you for your enthusiasm”. Emphasizing that Turkey could not learn the necessary lessons from the 17 August 1999 Izmit earthquake, İmamoğlu said, “Urban transformation has evolved into a completely different place. However, urban transformation should have been handled as a problem of existence and non-existence. But the model of this has changed in Istanbul. But, from the moment we took office for the last 4 years, we have taken this issue very seriously, putting technology and science as a roadmap in front of us at every moment, knowing that this issue will not be resolved without solidarity; We acted knowing that it is possible with an all-out struggle, not just a municipality, a metropolitan municipality or a district municipality," he said.
“THIS ISSUE CANNOT BE A MATTER OF ELECTION”
Emphasizing that citizens also have important duties in this regard, İmamoğlu said, “We are making intense efforts to talk about this with our people and to find a solution. We did not see this effort as a matter of big projects, so that this effort is accepted by our people and that every street and every avenue is mentioned. At the same time, we made an effort to solve the problems of our people by carrying this work to the streets and to the streets. I told all my fellow travelers: Transforming an apartment means saving at least four lives. Pointing out that the process can be resolved with the sincerity of the stakeholders of the whole issue, İmamoğlu said, “This issue cannot be an election issue. FOUNDATION LAUNCHED SIMULTANEOUSLY IN 3 DISTRICTS
After the speeches, the construction of urban transformation houses to be built in 3 districts and 4 neighborhoods started with the foundations laid simultaneously. Carrying out studies in many regions within the scope of the "Istanbul Renewal Platform", KİPTAŞ applied for renewal; Kaper Complex in Kartal Hürriyet District, Kadıköy Nurcan Apartment in Rasimpaşa Neighborhood, Kadıköy Ferah Apartment in Feneryolu Neighborhood started the transformation of single and multiple buildings in Şişli Mecidiyeköy Neighborhood. Within the scope of 4 projects, the foundations of which were laid, solutions will be produced for 336 risky independent units and approximately 1.350 people. Within the scope of the projects to be built in place of the risky structures, 648 independent units that are safe and durable will be built.
HIGH ATTENTION TO ISTANBUL RENEWING
KIPTAS, Istanbul Reconstruction Inc. and BİMTAŞ on July 5, 2021, the “Istanbul Renewal Platform” has attracted great interest since its opening. To date, more than 39 thousand applications from 641 neighborhoods in 25 districts have been received in the system, where the renewal applications of single buildings are also evaluated shortly after it was put into use. These applications are; It covers approximately 490 million 371 thousand people in 1 thousand 800 independent units. There are 210 applications that are in the process of reconciliation. These include approximately 23 thousand people in 82 thousand 6 independent units in 300 districts and 24 neighborhoods.
