'Furies' is set in the 90s and opens with a glimpse into the life of Bi, a young girl growing up in a turbulent atmosphere in a small Vietnamese village. Bi flees the village after a man sexually assaults Bi and his mother dies while trying to protect him. She comes to Saigon (now Ho Chi Minh City) and lives on the streets, she. He's a pickpocket and does odd jobs to feed himself. However, she is constantly persecuted by men who try to exploit her. Disturbed by his traumatic experiences and poor living conditions, Bi accidentally encounters Jacqueline, a strong woman who saves him from some vagrants.

Jacqueline, also known as Aunt Lin, feeds Bi and takes her to a shelter. Jacqueline is home to other orphan girls, Hong and Thanh. Hong is bubbly and likes to do girlish things, while Thanh is anti-social and rude. Hong excitedly welcomes Bi to his new home, while Thanh doesn't believe Bi can survive with them. Jacqueline trains the girls in martial arts and encourages them to fight for justice. After a while, Bi forms a fraternal bond with Hong and Thanh as all three girls are exploited and forced into prostitution until Jacqueline saves them.

As a martial artist trains and gets stronger, Jacqueline assigns the female assassin trio a mission. His target is “Mad Dog” Hai, a local crime boss who runs several illegal businesses. Hai's gang includes Long, who is in charge of the drug business, Leo, Hai's personal bodyguard, and Teo, who is in charge of sex trafficking. Jacqueline instructs the girls to invade one of Hai's facilities and rescue young girls like them from Teo. Bi, Hong and Thanh strengthen their bond by successfully completing the mission. Meanwhile, Jacqueline has her own secret plans behind targeting Hai. During Hong's birthday party, Long is revealed to be an insider working with Jacqueline to overthrow Hai's empire.

Jacqueline sends the girls on a mission to kill Hai and retrieve an important briefcase. However, Hong is killed in the line of duty, and Hai learns that Jacqueline is alive, implying a past between them. After the mission fails, Bi realizes that Jacqueline only wants revenge on Hai and doesn't care about justice. Moreover, Bi doubts that Jacqueline cares about the girls at all. However, Bi decides to stay with Thanh as the girls promise Hong that they will stay together. Meanwhile, Hai sends his men to destroy Jacqueline and her female assassins, sparking a final showdown between Jacqueline and Hai.

She blames Long for not stopping Hai from killing her husband. Jacqueline kills Long, showing Hai that she is powerless in front of him. Hai begs Jacqueline to forgive him and spare his life. In return, he promises to return Hoang's domain to Jacqueline. But Jacqueline wants to avenge the death of her innocent son. She thus shoots Hai and avenges her son. However, Jacqueline is not content with shedding the blood of her enemies and continues her crusade. Can Bi and Thanh Survive? Who is Thanh Soi?

After helping Jacqueline complete her twisted quest for revenge, Bi decides to leave and takes the injured Thanh with him. But Jacqueline doesn't want to let go of her trusted and well-trained assassin, Thanh. Therefore, Thanh pulls the last emotional strings Thanh tied to him and forces him to kill Bi. But the bond between Thanh and Bi has grown exponentially since Hong's death. Thanh enters prostitution to pay for her younger sister's medical treatment. However, he found himself in the depths of the sex trade and was unable to save his sister. Being three sisters, life gives Thanh a second chance to start a happy family with Hong and Bi. Therefore, Thanh goes against Jacqueline's wishes.

After the fight, Thanh refuses to kill Bi and pulls the trigger on Jacqueline instead. However, Jacqueline prepares for Thanh's betrayal and shoots her to death. Enraged, Bi fights Jacqueline and tries to avenge her fallen comrades. But Jacqueline proves that Bi is too strong to defeat alone. Still, Bi uses Jacqueline's advice against her mentor and takes advantage of Jacqueline's rib injury. In the end, Bi overpowers Jacqueline and kills her before she passes out.

Ultimately, Bi is the only survivor of the bloody fight and is rescued by the arriving cops. However, he is sentenced to fifteen years in prison. After his release from prison, he takes the name “Thanh Sói” in honor of his sister Thanh. Thus, Bi proves that the fraternal bond he forms with Hong and Thanh is genuine and that the girl is the closest thing she has to a family. In their quest to survive in a male world where men constantly exploit them, the girls fall victim to a woman's machinations and their journey ends in an ironic end. Still, these experiences make Bi the venerable and ruthless child smuggler we saw in 2019's 'Furie'. Thus, the final moments pull the carpet from under the audience, making the movie essentially an original story of the said movie's villain.
