Occupational physician Bahar Tek was with Takdire Halaç, an earthquake survivor who was going through a dangerous pregnancy process, at every moment. Doctor Bahar Tek, who never left her hand by entering the delivery room, gave morale to the mother. Takdire Halaç, who lives in a tent city and named her third child Bahar, who she held in her arms, said, “May Allah be pleased with her, she measured my blood pressure every day. Was very good. She entered my birth, took my baby in my arms, dressed me. I wanted to name my child after him. He saved me. They would send it to Adana. They said it was a problem birth. Bahar Hanım gave me consolation.

Stating that she has two daughters, Aynur and Aysel, Takdire Halaç also explained what she experienced during her first birth and said, “I gave birth to Aynur at 7 months. Then we came across a family from Izmir. His child was also troubled. She gave her milk, breastfed my child. My milk was forbidden. She nursed. God bless them both. The people of Izmir saved my two babies," he said. Explaining that he is satisfied with the services offered by the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality, Halaç said, “They brought everything I said. “I held the baby first”

Doctor Bahar Tek said, “I met Ms. Appreciation on the first day I came here. According to the information reached to our general manager, she was a patient with the possibility of having a problematic pregnancy. They stay in the tent. A request was made as if you could go and examine it. After meeting with Takdire, we started texting every day morning and evening.”

Saying that the birth was done in Osmaniye State Hospital, Bahar Tek said, “He called me and said I'm going to the hospital. We entered the hospital door almost at the same time. We went into the birth together, we went out together. Doctor Pınar Hanım gave birth at Osmaniye State Hospital. I put on the apron, and we entered the operating room together. I held her hand, we talked throughout the surgery. I held the baby first. He was born as a healthy baby, his follow-up continues.”

“I feel like our daughters”

Evaluating the giving of her own name to the baby, Tek said, “She had a lot of pain. The birth has started, will there still be a referral, will she go to Osmaniye, will she stay in Adana, "What do you plan to name your baby?" I asked. He said your name. After that, they really named Bahar baby. I took the child in my arms, he was crying, he stopped, hugged my finger, stopped crying, fell asleep, I watched him in the incubator. Bahar baby is now my spiritual daughter. In med school, while working in the ER, I saw a lot of births, but this was something else for me. I really feel like our daughter.
