MOBILE WASTE CENTER TO 80 POINTS
Aiming to protect the environment and human health and all resources, the "Joint Service Protocol on the Establishment of Mobile Waste Retrieval Centers" was signed between the Metropolitan Municipality and the district municipalities. Within the scope of the protocol, in order to raise awareness about recycling in line with the principles of sustainable development, a Mobile Waste Delivery Center was established at 12 points in total in 80 districts.
It is aimed to ensure the recovery/recycling of wastes (paper, glass, metal, plastic wastes, waste electrical and electronic goods, waste batteries and vegetable waste oils) that the citizens collect separately at their source and to include the people in this system. The collection, transportation and recycling of the wastes collected at the Mobile Waste Retrieval Centers provided and deployed by Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality will be carried out by the district municipalities. The collected waste will be recycled and contribute to the circular economy. With the Mobile Waste Retrieval Centers, it is aimed to spread the awareness of zero waste and raise awareness.
