One of the Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality affiliates, Antikkapı A.Ş. Antique Academy continues to meet with the prospective cooks of vocational high schools periodically. Antikkapı chefs, who organized the first training of 2023 at Maide Cafe, shared their experiences with cooking and explained the tricks of how to make the best kebab. At the end of the training, master chefs, future chef candidates and teachers ate kebabs they made with their own hands.

CHIEF CANDIDATES OF THE FUTURE

Welcoming a different school in each training, Antikkapı Chefs hosted the culinary department students and teachers of Körfez Çamlıtepe Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School in the first training of 2023. While all the tricks about making kebab were conveyed to the students and teachers, kebab was made in a practical way. At the end of the training, the students ate the kebabs they cooked with their own hands.

TIPS OF KEBAB FROM THE MASTER CHEF

Yılmaz Ergül, the master chef of Antikkapı, explained the tricks of making kebabs and stated that he started his career at the age of 13 and has been doing this business for 49 years. Master chef Ergül said, “Thanks to this profession, I traveled to 60 countries and learned 4 languages. You are very lucky because you are studying this business. Appreciate this, we used to chase after it for days to learn something from our master. This profession is not an ordinary profession, we look forward to your hard work and joining us.”

KEBAB STUD AND COOKING

Another master chef, Recep Çelik, gave information about kebab sticking and cooking and drew attention to the importance of patience and continuous experience in the sector. At the end of the training, Antikkapı Management Systems Deputy Manager Elif Altıntaş gave information about food safety to the students. At the end of the training, students receive their certificates from Antikkapı A.Ş. It was taken from the hands of Sales and Planning Manager Ali Murat Salman. Salman stated that they will support students throughout their education life.

THANKS TO THE PRESIDENT BÜYÜKAKIN

Gizem Sezer, the Food and Beverage Services Area Chief of Körfez Çamlıtepe Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School, stated that they applied to the Antikkapı family to make on-site observations and said that they had very good experiences with their students. Thanking Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Tahir Büyükakın, Sezer said that Antikkapı A.Ş. He stated that they were very pleased with the close attention of the General Manager İslam Yücel and the chiefs.
