CEVA Logistics Enters Global Finished Vehicle Logistics Ambitious

CEVA Logistics is establishing a special unit for global finished vehicle logistics (FVL) with the operations of GEFCO, which it acquired in 2022. The unit, which will employ 4 people and will consist of 1.600 trucks, 3.000 vehicle transport wagons and more than 100 vehicle combinations, will be managed by GEFCO COO Emmanuel Cheremetinski. GEFCO's other activities are being combined with existing CEVA operations.

Founded in 1949 by the French automotive company Peugeot, the logistics leader GEFCO operated with 47 employees in 11.500 countries. GEFCO, a specialist in finished vehicle logistics and multimodal international transport in Europe, shipped more than five million vehicles annually.

Following the acquisition and integration of GEFCO, CEVA has become the largest logistics company and one of the leading global names in automotive logistics solutions. The integration and brand change processes of GEFCO activities, which started around the world in October 2022, are planned to be completed in 2023.

CEVA already has 15 of the 14 largest global automotive manufacturers and numerous global automotive parts suppliers; It offered various logistics solutions from inbound to production, from components to after-sales services. With the addition of all vehicle distribution and transportation services following the acquisition of GEFCO, CEVA has become able to offer the global automotive industry complete solutions that may be needed in the product life cycle.
