Electronic Notification System Cooperation Protocol was signed between the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. With the signed protocol, our citizens living abroad will also be able to receive e-notification addresses and will not lose their rights by benefiting from e-notification processes.

Deputy Minister of Justice Zekeriya Birkan, Deputy Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Enver İskurt and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Yasin Ekrem Serim attended the signing ceremony held in Ankara Hakimevi.

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Minister of Justice Zekeriya Birkan emphasized the importance of notification and said that judicial proceedings for the ministry begin with a notification. Birkan also informed that a saving of 2 billion 494 million 346 thousand liras was achieved with e-Notification.

Stating that the notification constitutes the basis of the proceedings, Birkan said, “The step we will take with this protocol regarding our citizens living abroad is very important. Because, according to statistics, notifications are made to our citizens living abroad between 3 and 6 months. Some cannot be done, there are no healthy returns. This causes the loss of rights of our citizens.” said.

Underlining that citizens living abroad can make e-notifications through consulates, Deputy Minister of Justice Birkan said that a total of 2019 million 134 thousand 4 e-Notifications have been made since 327.

E- NOTIFICATION SAVED 4 TONS OF PAPER

Emphasizing that e-Notification also saves paper, Birkan said, “It not only saved 4 tons of paper, but also saved around 704 trees from being cut down. According to our calculations, a saving of 80 billion 2 million 494 thousand liras has been achieved.” he said.

Birkan said that the number of judicial notifications made by judicial authorities to citizens living abroad between 2021-2022 is 174.

NUMBER OF CITIZENS USING E-GOVERNMENT APPROACHES 62 MILLION

Iskurt, Deputy Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, stated that they offer 942 institutions and 6 thousand 752 services to citizens in the electronic environment through the e-Government gateway, and said, “The number of citizens using e-Government has approached 62 million. We established KamuNet, a public private virtual network, in order to make data traffic between public institutions more secure. We provide more than 1300 services over KamuNet.” used the phrase.

WE PROVIDED OBTAINING JUDICIAL REGISTRATION DOCUMENTS IN 29 LANGUAGES

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Serim also stated that foreign policy concerns a wide area from politics to energy, from consular services to trade and public diplomacy.

Serim said that as a result of the cooperation with the Ministry of Justice, they enabled Turkish citizens to obtain their criminal records in 29 languages, including Turkish, from foreign representatives.
