Minister Tunç Soyer, gave a plaque of appreciation to the headmen and the trainers of the musical at the meeting at Nefes Restaurant. Mukhtars chanted slogans such as "The greatest president is Tunç President" and "Here is the real President".

For the 100th anniversary of Izmir's liberation, the muhtars, who took theater and music training for two months and took the stage for the first time in their lives, tell the story of Izmir's liberation with the “Izmir Mukhtars Musical from Liberation to Democracy”. In the play, in which the stories of three efe and two heroines are told based on Aegean folk songs, fictional characters are played alongside well-known figures such as Atçalı Mehmet, Yörük Ali, Çakırcalı Mehmet, Çete Emir Ayşe, Gördesli Makbule. It offers a magnificent visual feast with its orchestra, choir, folk dance group, wide cast, decor and costume.
