At the signing ceremony of the TÜBİTAK Artificial Intelligence Ecosystem Call Contract, signatures were signed for the design of the Artificial Intelligence Based Pollen Classification Machine in Beekeeping, which was accepted in the field of smart agriculture, food and livestock and developed by APIMAYE.

The Artificial Intelligence Ecosystem Call was opened for the first time this year by the TÜBİTAK Technology and Innovation Support Programs Presidency, which is the first to come to mind when it comes to science and technology and continues its activities in a wide range in line with its vision of being the leading institution in Turkey's national technology move and transformation. This call was planned to contribute to the transformation of artificial intelligence technologies developed by companies into products or solutions by utilizing the knowledge in universities or public research centers.

The Developed Project Will Offer Wide Use in Fields such as Food, Medicine, Pharmacology and Cosmetics

The aim of the project, which is the design of APIMAYE, which was established to bring together everyone who makes beekeeping as a hobby or profession, with the most modern and correct equipment, and which will be implemented in cooperation with VITEX Honey Alinda and Ankara University; Designing an artificial intelligence-based classification machine to obtain single plant pollen from mixed pollens is characterized as providing classification according to color in obtaining standard single plant pollen.

“We Aimed to Plan Innovative Methods with the Artificial Intelligence Ecosystem Call”

Delivering the opening speech of the ceremony held at the Information Commercialization Center (ITO BTM) of the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce, TUBITAK President Prof. Dr. Hasan MANDAL said, “There is a need for an innovative method where information will produce solutions in a much more valuable way. With this Artificial Intelligence Ecosystem Call, we aimed to plan innovative methods. In other words, we wanted it to be a structure in which institutions that produce, develop and use information come together. I am grateful to all our companies for this because we are trying a new business model. I see it as very valuable in terms of creating our potential to use this model in more difficult and complex areas in the future, in terms of the value that the model will add to our country, together with the results of the projects we will create.” used the phrases.

“Together We Will Witness That More Value Is Generated From Data In Our Country With Artificial Intelligence Applications In The Future”

Stating that they have determined artificial intelligence as one of the critical technology areas for our country in terms of economic impact, social benefit and national security in their development plans and industry and technology strategy in order to benefit from this rapidly developing technology, Minister of Industry and Technology Mustafa VARANK, in his speech, said: We want to build a sustainable artificial intelligence ecosystem that can generate value at scale. Therefore, we need to realize the multi-stakeholder cooperation between the public, industry, academia and entrepreneurs at the highest level. In order to develop the ecosystem in question, we have determined that a new approach is needed that will mobilize all stakeholders at the same time. That's why we launched the Artificial Intelligence Ecosystem Call, which we set up as a brand new support model this year. The most important feature that distinguishes this call from others is its support model. Thanks to this support program, we will witness together that more value is produced from data in our country with artificial intelligence applications in the coming period.” gave his words.

“We Will Always Continue To Offer Innovative Solutions To Our Beekeepers”

Speaking about the projects they prepared and the program organized after the ceremony, the Founder and Honorary President of the Company, Muzaffer YILDIRIM, said, “Bee pollen is defined as a superfood in terms of the nutrients it contains. Pollen harvested from pollen trap hives is mostly mixed pollen and is therefore not a standard product. With this project we have developed, it is aimed to obtain a product with high added value by making an artificial intelligence-based classification machine. Among our goals is to undertake studies that have positive effects on the environment and living things, especially on bee deaths. We will always continue to offer innovative solutions to our beekeepers.” He talked about the main lines of the project they developed.
